Why this site is small, and why that's the plan
Totally Jerusalem is a new, independent travel guide. Here's exactly what that means in practice.
—What we're building
Totally Jerusalem aims to become a genuinely comprehensive, trustworthy guide to Jerusalem — eventually covering trip planning, the Old City's four quarters and surrounding neighbourhoods, holy sites, food, culture and current travel news, in multiple languages. It will grow slowly. We publish a page when it's ready to be one of the most useful things you could find on its subject, not on a schedule.
—How we source facts
For anything that changes — entry rules, opening hours, safety conditions, transport, fees — we go to government, tourism-authority, and site-management sources first, and we link to them directly so you can check the current version yourself. Where official sources disagree with each other, as currently happens with Jerusalem safety advisories across different governments, we say so rather than picking one to quote.
—What we don't do
- We don't display ads or run affiliate widgets while the site is establishing itself.
- We don't invent "live" data. If something on the page updates in real time, it's genuinely computed live; everything else is clearly dated, evergreen information with a source.
- We don't publish thin pages to hit a page count, and we don't pad genuine guides with filler to look longer than they are.
—Corrections
If you find something on this site that's out of date, wrong, or has changed on the ground since we last checked, we want to know. Pages carry a last-updated date so you can judge freshness for yourself, and material errors get corrected rather than left to age.
